The Greek counterpart of Discordia is Eris. In Greek mythology, Eris was the goddess of strife, chaos, and discord. She was often depicted as a female figure with wings, carrying a flaming torch and a serpent. Eris was considered a troublemaker and was known to stir up trouble amongst the gods and mortals, causing chaos and confusion. Her most famous act of mischief was the golden apple she threw into the wedding banquet of Peleus and Thetis, which eventually led to the Trojan War. Eris was not worshipped, but feared and respected for her power and unpredictable nature.
